Learn the dance, learn the steps, then learn the character of it.” — Len Goodman

Mon., Oct. 16, 2017: Jenna and Artem opened an elegant dance, then were joined by all other pros, to “It’s a Small, Small World.”  The tempo was then upped majorly and gowns were ripped off, down to short costumes, as the  dance continued, with celebs joining their pro partners.  We were told that Mickey Mouse debuted in a movie in 1928, and the Victoria/Val duo opened the competition by showing it in their dance.

Represented her Mexican heritage in this folk dance and the connection that her father had in managing a mariachi band. Loved their outfits, esp. the vibrant deep-turquoise color.  Lively, joyous, graceful, and a pleasure to watch.  Her best dance so far.

She’s due for:  Foxtrot, Quickstep, Argentine Tango, Jive, Charleston, Cha-Cha, Samba, Salsa, Rumba, Paso Doble.

WHO WAS IN JEOPARDY?  Frankie (WTH?!), and Sasha.

WHO SHOULD BE ELIMINATED NEXT WEEK?  Nick!  Come on, people—he IS NOT going to improve enough to get much further, so please don’t keep him while knocking out a truly talented and deserving dancer.

MY PICKS:  Yes, they’re still Lindsey Stirling, Jordan Fisher, and Vanessa Lachey.  After them, watch out especially for Drew Scott and Nikki Bella.

Pro:  Congrats to former Dancing With The Stars pro Dmitry Chaplin, who got married.

Possible Future Contestant:  Cookbook author Ayesha Curry, young mother of two who is married to NBA Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, says that she has been approached to compete on DWTS but  has chickened out every time, seemingly because she’s “got two left feet.”
