DANCING WITH THE STARS News    February 9, 2018

Hi, Dancing with the Stars fans!

Are you making it through the winter okay?  Here’s a brief DWTS update to help you along.  I tried to post it numerous times earlier today but, for unknown reasons, could not get an Internet connection.

The DWTS “Light Up the Night” tour hit a dangerous and frightening snag last week.  During the snowstorm that plagued the Great Plains, the Midwest and beyond, their tour bus was involved in a multi-vehicle pileup on one of Iowa’s snowy highways.  The cast and crew were shaken up, and a few minor injuries were reported, but they’re okay.  In fact, after resting on the night of the accident, they continued onward and then wowed fans the next day as though nothing had happened.  The old showbiz mantra, “The show must go on,” is alive and well.  The tour will finish on March 18 in Los Angeles.  http://www.dancingwiththestarslivetickets.com/

Watch out!  The Chmerkovskiys from Dancing with the Stars are hitting the road to perform and promote Maks, Val & Peta Live on Tour: Confidential!   Maksim (Maks) and wife/pro dancer Peta Murgatroyd will have their one-year-old son Shai along on their tour bus, sure to be quite a challenge.  They seemed to indicate that brother Valentin (Val) will travel separately.  Val’s girlfriend, pro Jenna Johnson, will not participate but will visit.  The tour is scheduled to dazzle about 50 cities; it “begins on March 19 in Springfield, Missouri, and ends on May 16 in Las Vegas.  For more information on tickets and tour dates, go to www.maksandvaltour.com.”

It’s MOVIE time!   “The 15:17 to Paris: The True Story of A Terrorist, A Train, and  Three American Heroes” opens in theaters across the country TODAY!  It stars the three American friends who actually helped to subdue the terrorist onboard the fast-moving train that had 500-plus passengers.  Shortly after the harrowing incident, Alek Skarlatos, one of the two military friends, made it to the Dancing with the Stars finals with pro Lindsay Arnold on Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars.  I got to meet and be photographed with Alek during their subsequent “Dance All Night” tour in January of 2016.  What a sweet guy!  Get the whole story—don’t miss the movie!  I’m going to read the book, too; it arrived today.

Till next time and always, keep your dancing shoes on!
