Hills Dancing With The Stars: Week 2 Analysis and Results (March 27, 2017) This week’s Dancing with the Stars performances brought probably an equal number of disappointments and delights. It also showed a combination of unnecessarily elevated and reduced scores, along with favoritism and coddling of certain celebs. One judge again stressed that ballroom dance is very different from having a background in other dance forms without admitting that such a background still gives clear advantages. History on this show has proven that the backgrounds/years of training/skills of Olympians and experts in other forms of dance have an enormous advantage over someone who has no dance experience; it’s only logical. Again, a few pros failed to provide appropriate/traditional and sufficient dance content. Producers, get over your grade-school mentalities and show respect for all of us. Nancy Kerrigan: Traditional Cha-Cha.  Judges’ scores 7-7-7-7. My score 8. The positive: A hot-pink classy and well-done performance of traditional moves, good lines, and good footwork in sufficient traditional content (thank you, Artem). The negative/work on: Nancy, polish your performance by finishing all moves, steadily. (I’m sorry that the producers keep putting you 2nd or 1st and cheating you on scores.)   Erika Jayne: Modified Foxtrot.  Judges’ scores 7-7-7-7. My score 7. The positive: Good attitude/work ethic/physical flexibility. Tonight’s dance was basically pretty, graceful, and smooth with good footwork and good lines. The negative/work on: Erika, please understand that sex is neither necessary nor sales-worthy in all situations; learn to discriminate and choose wisely without trying to force Gleb to change his choreography for you.
